Academics
We expect our students to perform well academically, and they meet our expectations!
The primary language of instruction in our school is English. Some of our students arrive unable to speak English and we help them transition successfully by Christmas of their first year in school. Students who need additional academic support to perform at grade level are given the needed classes and support through additional tutoring.
Immaculate Conception School provides all state mandated academic learning goals and also includes extracurricular activities as choir, computer instruction, sports, student council, Hijas de Maria, Caballeros de Maria, and after school programs.
Students who find themselves affected by the violence in the neighborhood, by family difficulties, or by other environmental factors are given additional assistance through individual and group counseling efforts.
Our one-on-one attempt to address the needs of our students helps them succeed academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
